Keep it to one page unless you have more than about eight years of experience. The person reading it is skimming, not studying.
Worth including: what you did rather than what you were responsible for, numbers wherever you have them, the tools and software you actually use, and your city so employers know where you are.
Leave out: date of birth, marital status, father's name, religion and caste — these are still common on Indian resumes but no longer expected, and they take up space that could hold something about your work. Also drop 'References available on request'; everyone knows.
Compare 'Responsible for handling customer queries' with 'Handled 40–50 customer calls a day and resolved billing complaints without escalation'. Same job, but the second one tells the reader something.
Start each line with a verb — handled, built, taught, repaired, managed, sold. If you can attach a number to it, do. If you cannot, say specifically what you did instead of describing the role in general terms.
Always send a PDF, never a Word file — a PDF looks the same on every phone and computer, and Word documents shift their layout on someone else's machine. Name the file with your own name, like Ramesh-Kumar-Resume.pdf, not resume-final-2.pdf.
