Straighten upside-down or sideways pages
A PDF scanned on a phone often opens sideways. Rotate the whole file or just the pages you choose — the rotation is saved into the file, so you will not have to turn it every time you open it.
A scanner or a phone records which way up it was held, and viewers do not always agree on how to read that. So a document that looked fine on your phone opens sideways on someone else's computer, or prints rotated.
Rotating here writes the correct orientation into the file itself, so it stays fixed everywhere — including when an office opens it. Turning the page in your PDF viewer does not do this; that only changes what you see on screen and is forgotten when you close it.
Documents scanned from a book often have landscape tables among portrait pages. Type something like 4,9-11 to turn just those, leaving everything else alone.
